Commissioned in 1926, Route 66 is the famous 2,451 mile long highway in the United States.
Route 66 is beautiful in the fact that it traverses over half the United States, from Los Angeles to Chicago.
Many visitors from all around the world come to Route 66, taking week long trips, to visit the famous road and the hundreds of well-known motels and interesting spots along highway.
Route 66, has many nicknames, some of the more famous ones being “Will Rogers” highway, as well as the mother-road of the United States.

Lets talk about some of the most iconic food spots on Route 66. It doesn’t get more “Americana” than this.
One of the most famous spots is the Roadkill Cafe, providing some of the tastiest roadkill on earth (joke).
But honestly, this spot has some of the best char burgers and ribs on the entirety of Route 66 (and that’s saying a lot).
A great spot to stop and ponder while making your journey across America.
